Registration Is Open for Global Shrimp Forum 2026

Secure your spot at GSF2026!

Early bird tickets for the fifth Global Shrimp Forum are now on sale, as the industry’s premier gathering returns to Utrecht 1–3 September 2026. Building on the successful format of the first four editions, GSF2026 will combine what works with targeted evolutions to take the forum to the next level for delegates, speakers and sponsors. Tickets are available at www.shrimp-forum.com/register at the early-bird rate of €1,300 (excl. VAT) until 1 May, after which the price will rise to €1,500.

A redesigned exhibition zone with cleaner, more impactful booths will debut this year, alongside new venues for both the Opening and Closing Plenaries, moving from Oude Gracht to the larger, improved Nieuwe Gracht, to create an even stronger shared experience as we come together and wrap up the week.

EU import landscape, retail insights and more

Jan Lambregts at GSF 2025

Among a host of sessions and side events, the programme features a deep dive into the EU import landscape, retail market and growth opportunities, presented by GSF Managing Director, Willem van der Pijl, following record figures for EU shrimp imports. The GSF Board is also hiring a leader in retail barcode scanning who, alongside van der Pijl, will provide an in‑depth look at shrimp sales trends in European retail and comparisons with other proteins.

Returning to deliver the Plenary Opening is Jan Lambregts, Head of RaboResearch Global Economics & Markets at Rabobank. After last year’s widely praised address, Jan will once again set the scene with his expert take on the macroeconomic and geopolitical landscape, as the industry continues to navigate US tariffs and persistent volatility.

This year’s Opening Plenary will also introduce a new talkshow-style format, bringing more dynamic discussion and additional expert voices to the stage.

The Forum will conclude with a Closing Plenary on Agentic AI, an emerging topic we explored in our previous newsletter. With early pilots already underway across parts of the value chain, the session will offer a practical look at what this technology could mean for the shrimp industry, featuring leaders from processing, feed and technology.

Specialist sessions will cover the Middle East, the trade statistics presentation, and summits focused on investment, feed, buyers and sellers, and responsible sourcing.

A big thank you to GSF sponsors and exhibitors

We couldn’t continue to bring the biggest movers and shakers together in Utrecht each year, or continue investing in vital research projects and initiatives, without the support of our sponsors and exhibitors. This year, sponsor support has been so strong that, even at this relatively early stage, with around 30 sponsors already secured and a few more in the pipeline, we will not be seeking any additional sponsors. This is a testament to the value the forum brings to all of our delegates and the companies who support us, and we thank them for the trust they put in us each year.

This year our exhibition space is undergoing a transformation, meaning it will not necessarily be bigger, but it will certainly be even better than previous editions, with companies given a more prominent position, with cleaner, more impactful booths, to tell their brand’s stories and showcase their products or technologies. We do still have a few exhibition slots available, so please get in touch with the GSF team if you are interested in exhibiting this September.
